So wait, let me get this straight. Is this an X-Men SL or what?!
Surprisingly, yes it is. However, this is a very AU SL. There are no costumes, no Brotherhood, no X-Men. Just normal people realizing that they aren't all that normal.

Whatever happened to the phrase/term "mutants"?
Simply put, we don't like it. We used a lovely thesaurus and found that the word Anomalous meant pretty much the same thing, and sounded better anyways. Through previous incarnations of the game, we sort of coined "Anomali" as plural.

So, what are the characters we can play?
We are only going to allow characters from the X-Men universe. No Fantastic Four, no Daredevil, No Spider-Man. JUST "mutants". We thought about allowing the whole universe, but we feel that if we do full Marvel cast, it will get a bit too broad and it wouldn't fit with our storyline to have people getting bug bites and turning into an Anomalous.

Wait, This looks like "Heroes"?
In a way, yes. Except the fact that it's somewhat of a merger of X-Men and Heroes. We just didn't like the idea of organized teams, and we did like the idea of normal people getting powers brought to us by Heroes.

So, I want to play someone uber strong!
Sorry, it isn't exactly going to be allowed. We don't want any demi-gods running around, especially since in our game the characters are just now coming into their powers. We are only allowing one Phoenix incarnation, and it is that of Jean Grey.

How long have they had their powers? Do they get them at Puberty still?
Apparently this hasn't been that clear, as we still got applications for a fifteen year old character attacking bullies at his high school with his powers. They have ONLY HAD their powers for six months to a year. No later than that is possible. Think of it like Heroes, or simply a new phenomena. Most people are just now discovering these abilities and coping with them. They also usually come after having a traumatizing event. You got to think of something, and try to relate it to their general history if possible. If not, make something up. Let's hope this clears up any more dispute.

Where does this leave the characters from X-Men?
The characters are yours for the changing! They can be older, they can be meaner, whatever you wish. We only ask that you keep the following items: Name, Powers, Gender, and some aspects of their General/Basic History. You can change their codenames if you wish.(Might come in handy for the future?) Also, if you wanted to change their history a bit to help flesh the personality (such as someone having a harder life, thus becoming more rude and brash), then that's fine with us. Just keep it to a moderate extent. We are also allowing you to change the sexual orientation of characters in the X-Men series. We just ask that you don't make every male in the series gay and every woman in the game straight. It just wouldn't be fun without our mad-wild sex games.

Well, what if I want to make an OC?
The characters are virtually OC. The only things that you are keeping at gender, name, powers, and just brief general history. We are not allowing total original characters, just for the simple fact of we don't need them.

And where, exactly, is this SL taking place?
The SL is going to be taking place in New York City, New York. Yes, we realize that it's very cliche, but you've got to remember how diverse NY is! There is no Brotherhood, and no Xavier's Mansion. We feel that teams will naturally create themselves, leaders will be appointed, and chaos will ensue.

What characters have been "banned"?
Oh, you know the drill. No super powerful villains, no aliens. No one from the shi'ar, no one from another universe that somehow swapped over. Oh, and now reality warpers. If you want Wanda, then you must have the classic Wanda. We don't need another House of M ordeal. See the banned on the holds and such page.

Can I change my PB? :D
No! Please, please, please make sure you can live with your PB choice for the long run, before pushing forward into the game. For consistency sake, we will not be allowing random PB changes. If you feel strongly about a change please make sure you contact a mod with in 1 week (7 days) of being accepted. Once players have played for a 7+ days we'll be less inclined to allow the switch. This, of course, is simply because changing PB's not only confuses the masses, but causes us lazy mod-types to have to go back and change graphics throughout the site.
